Thank you for Vomitting your opinion all over me

We quite frequently have strangers stop by our table in restaurants and make comments about how well behaved our children are or how wonderful it is that they all eat vegetables without making a fuss. Then there are the days that The Daddy and I wish we could just sink into the floor because our 6 year old is hiding under the table, our 9 year old cannot sit still and use his "inside voice," and our daughter is crying because, God forbid, we told her no about something. While the comments about good behavior are nice, the stares and nasty comments are completely unnecessary. Do people just not remember the old adage about "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all?" I really do not care about the opinions of strangers, but do the children really need to have negativity spewed all over them? They are not old enough to have developed a thick skin yet because they are still figuring out who they are.So to those who just cannot help but to vomit their opinions, thank you. Your rude behavior is but another real-life example to my children of how NOT to be.
